Photoshop’s layer system helps you organize your digital images into a tree of layers and make any changes you want to your image. These steps walk you through the steps to modify a group of images to create the basic layered composite:
1. Open Photoshop.
2. Select a photo in your Photo\Images folder and choose File⇒Open.

14. Choose a location and name for the file.
15. Click Save.

Setting Up Your Workspace
The image you work on in Photoshop has layer-based editing, which means you can see many of the images you create at one time. Photoshop enables you to access your layers (or file) in separate areas of your workspace.
The current workspace area is an area in the center of the workspace. Every new file opens with a small area for creating a new image and a larger workspace area that serves as a repository for all the images you work on in the current workspace.
The Photoshop workspace has the following areas:
Tools area (refer to Figure 4-3): This is where all your tools are. The Toolbox, a drop-down menu on the top left of the workspace, enables you to access each tool. Tools are discussed in Chapter 2.
The Tool Options area (refer to Figure 4-3): You can adjust several options for each tool. Chapter 2 also discusses tool options.

The North Lansing Scoutz
drop-in workshop for young writers will be held at the East Lansing Public Library from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays (no meeting on January 27). The workshops will be held in the library’s Information Commons.
The workshops will cover basic skill sets for becoming a great writer. Come in to learn the secrets to writing! u_{mp2}$ increases to around 3.8 GHz. At the filling factor 0.998, the lowest two MPs merge, and finally all MPs merged in the phase-coherent state.
